Create Animations

Get animating quickly by capturing frames from your webcam, iPad camera, phone or tablet. Play your film back at any time to see how you are getting on, fiddle around with the speed of your film (frame rate), or choose to adjust the speed of individual clips within the film to create slow-motion or fast-action effects! Make a mistake? Simply delete frames on the fly, or click 'undo' - it's as easy as that!

Zu3D comes with an extensive library of music and sound effects which you can add to your film in just a few clicks. Have some of your own sound files you'd prefer to use? Import them with ease! You can even record directly into your Zu3D projects - add dialogue, narrate a story, explain a topic, sing!

Titles and Credits

Titles, Credits & Text

Use Zu3D's Title Editor to add titles and credits to your film. Choose from the wide range of different pre-formatted text styles, or easily create your own. Preview our range of visual effects on your text to decide how it enters and exits your film - will it zoom in or spin away, or both?! Change the background of your titles/credits/text to one of the many Zu3D pictures, or click to browse your machine and find your personal pictures or photos to import. Easily create chapter headings, subtitles, speech bubbles!

Green Screening

You can use multiple Chroma Keys in Zu3D. This allows you to remove the background of your animation, and replace it with a picture or a video by overlaying the 'green screened' animation on top of any image or segment of film you wish!

And there's more - with the ability to add unlimited video tracks, you can even add a foreground, or 'green screen' another animation over your current movie and background! The possibilities are endless...

Drawing Tools

Enhance your animation with the drawing tools; for example add special effects like explosions or flames, or draw whiskers and cat ears over your characters face.

Or, produce a completely 'mouse-drawn' animation using just the drawing tools and 'copy to next frame' button which copies your drawn image onto the next frame to save having to redraw that butterfly or cloud, or whatever you create, every single time!

Rig Removal

The 'Magic Rubber' allows you to erase strings or rigs or mistakenly placed hands.

Choose a source frame that contains the same picture without the 'rig' (usually the first photo you take back at the start of your movie before any rigs or moving characters are in shot) and use the rubber to paint this over the frame with the rig.

Simply the easiest way to make things appear as if they're flying...

Speech Bubbles

Choose from a variety of different speech bubble styles to add an extra dimension to your movie.

Then, as your skills develop, use 'Key Frames' to add effects to make the speech bubbles grow from a mouth, or shrink and fade into the distance, or even seemlessly move across the screen to follow the character!

Timelapse

Easily set Zu3D to capture a picture at regular time intervals to create an impressive film.

Seeds growing, clouds floating, ice melting...

Use Zu3D's amazing video editing features such as 'Titles and credits' to create your complete film.

Remote Camera App

The Zu3D Remote Camera App is a free iOS and Android App that lets you utilise your phone or tablet's high resolution camera, instead of an integrated or external webcam to capture your images.

It also allows you to easily to transfer videos from your phone/tablet to your computer (even if you don't want to use them in Zu3D!).
(Not available for Zu3D on iPad)

Multiple Layers of Video

In Zu3D you can have unlimited layers of video.

This allows for different films to be combined to create some amazing effects - such as it looking as though your characters are watching a 'real' movie on their TV, or having your character interact with an actor from one of your favourite films - or even yourself!

Automatic Frame Capture

Tired of having to keep clicking your mouse or tapping the screen to capture your shot? Not any more - Zu3D can automatically take a frame every time your hand leaves the shot!
